BE-4540 N. sumatrana – assorted clones
This spectacular species is endemic to parts of North and West Sumatra and is unfortunately critically endangered in its natural habitat. Borneo Exotics are delighted therefore to finally be able to offer it from a sustainable source and in significant numbers.
Significantly, although technically a lowland species it seems to grow very well under highland conditions, with temperatures ranging from about 12 – 15 deg. C at night, peaking around 25 deg. C in the day. It’s therefore much more temperature tolerant than was originally supposed. In habitat it likes to grow on sandstone, but have no problems growing it on usual mix of coir peat and chopped coconut husks.
First introduced in August 2022.
