BE-4523 N. spectabilis x ‘Viking’ – assorted clones
This item is exceptionally lovely, combining the red-striped peristome and speckled pitcher body of N. spectabilis with the pink-hued gradation and wide fringed wings of N. ‘Viking’. Hybrids don’t always take on the best characteristics of both parent species, but this one certainly does!
The correct scientific name of this item is Nepenthes spectabilis x mirabils var. globosa.
The female parent is a selected clone of the superbly spectacular giant form of N. spectabilis, sold under BE-3178.
The male parent is a selected seed-raised individual of N. ‘Viking’.
One clone produced from the same grex of seeds as this item, as well as some seed-grown plants were offered under BE-3741 and BE-3909 in 2017.
