BE-4019 N. rajah x robcantleyi – single clone

If you imagine a dream hybrid between two species in the genus with the largest pitchers, this might well be it! It’s been decades in coming and BE only managed to germinate a single seed from the grex, so it’s of one clone and that’s the reason it took a very long time to multiply up in to the point where we could supply an at all, even on the auctions and then finally make it generally available in larger sizes in March 2025.

At the time of launch, BE still haven’t grown this item out to its full potential, it will eventually become massive!

History:  Originally introduced in July 2020 on the wholesale auctions and last auctioned in Aug 2024, larger sizes were added to the shop for the first time in March 2025.

Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is a Nepenthes rajah, which is one of the four clones donated in-vitro from the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in the 1990s. The male parent is the giant black Nepenthes robcantleyi, with the cultivar name ‘King of Spades’.

Source: From a single clone.

Photo notes: Plants shipped are of the same clone as shown in these photos. The last photos in the series show plants of typical sale sizes in order of size S, M & L.
