BE-4001 N. truncata ‘SBG’ – single clone
An impressive species that never fails to attract admirers, with its broad heart-shaped leaves and tough enormous pitchers. It’s a reliable grower, being adaptable to varying conditions. This is probably a lowland form and produces large and extremely robust woody pitchers.
This particular item was donated in-vitro by Singapore Botanic gardens, hence ‘SBG’ in the title. Nothing else is known about its provenance. It is assumed that it was most likely a lowland form, but it grows well in BE highland nurseries, so it is designated as an intermediate grower.
First introduced in Nov 2019.
