BE-3700 N. robcantleyi x veitchii – assorted clones
This cross differs from BE-3933 in that the male parent is the Sungai Samba lowland form of N. veitchii, so it tolerates a wider range of temperatures, hence we class it as an intermediate grower. BE-3933 is a cross involving a highland form of N. veitchii. The latest photos show that it’s turning out to be spectacular.
History: First introduced in August 2016.
Origin: Horticultural, bred by Borneo Exotics. The female parent is the superb cultivar of N. robcantleyi, called Nepenthes ‘Queen of Hearts’, which has been exhibited world-wide many times and the male parent is a handsome striped form of N. veitchii, selected from the Bario form of the species sometimes available under BE-3205.
